DIY Valentine’s Day Party Invitation Using Canva

You don’t have to be a Photoshop wiz to make the cutest invitations for your Valentine’s Day party. Sure, you can go on Etsy and get some really great custom invitations but what if you wanted to do them on your own? I had a very specific vision in mind for mine and I wasn’t seeing anything already made that even came close. I wanted muted pinks, vintage cowgirl and something that stayed true to my western design aesthetic.

That’s where Canva came in. I am formally trained in Adobe Creative Suite and I can honestly say I use Canva so much more on a daily basis because it is SO easy. I made these Galentine’s Day Party invitations in about 15 minutes. I used a background and little heart graphics included in Canva and I downloaded the cowgirl graphic from Shutterstock. And I can have the invitations printed through Canva as well. I’m going to get some simple craft envelopes from Walmart, handwrite the addresses, and drop them in mailboxes.

Canva has templates for just about everything so you can get some inspiration. They also provide photos, graphics, animated graphics, vidoes… really the possibilities are endless. And the best part is that is has so many capabilities with the FREE subscription. If you decide you want to unlock more templates, graphics, photos, fonts, etc. you can upgrade to the PRO version, which is only $13/month. Totally worth it in my opinion.
