Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a bread loaf pan. I used an 8" x 4".
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, and salt.
Add the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix to combine.
Add 1 Tbsp of flour to 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips to lightly coat them. Fold the flour-coated chips into the mixture.
Pour the mixture into the bread pan. Sprinkly remaining chocolate chips on top.
Bake for 50-60 min. Depending on your over, I'd set a timer for 45 min and keep checking it until a knife comes out clean.
Remove from oven and let the loaf cool in the pan. Slice and enjoy!
