Easy & Affordable Fall Table Decor

We are not fancy people when it comes to Thanksgiving dinner. I’m lucky if my husband isn’t wearing camo at the dinner table. As much as I would like to be that person with a dinning room table straight out of Elle Decor’s Fall issue, it just isn’t happening for me. But I do like pretty things and if I’m hosting dinner, I’d like it to look like I made an effort.

I put this Thanksgiving tablescape together in less than 10 minutes and did it very affordably. Since I’m not a light, bright and airy person, I went with moody boho fall with orange, copper, green and black. And I think it works!

I scattered some succulents, cactus and pumpkins across a boho black and white table runner. I wanted to keep these items small since we don’t have a huge table and they’ll be easy to remove when I put food on the table. I bought faux plants and clay pots separately and pieced them together how I wanted. These are the faux succulents I bought. And these too. And here are some cactus options.

I was specifically looking for rusty burnt orange linen napkins and found the best ones. They go really well with the terra cotta mini pots.

I thought black flatware added the perfect touch to my moody table. And, even better, they will go perfectly with my dark green and black Christmas table theme that I’m planning. Here’s the exact set I bought. And the copper napkin rings were a wedding gift from my brother-in-law but they’re still available in some stores! Here’s another cool option too.

Cool vintage tumblers, right? They’re plastic. But they sure look fancy. And they’re a great juxtaposition to my modern lines and colors.

I just used my everyday white dinner plates but thought some contrast would look great so I added black matte salad plates. And for the pumpkins, I just grabbed what I had from Halloween decor. I picked those up at Hobby Lobby.

And the runner. Might be my favorite part. I found it at AtHome in the clearance section for $3.95. Not sure how I got so lucky. I can’t find it on their site but here are some similar options. Here, here, and here.
